Farmer Gov Bago attends funeral of Late Capt. Hassan Mohammed Baro
Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, has joined other sympathisers to attend the funeral prayer of the late Capt. Hassan Mohammed Baro, who until his death was the Permanent Commissioner IV at the Niger State Independent Electoral Commission.
The funeral prayer, held near the deceased’s residence in Minna, was led by the Director General of Religious Affairs, Malam Umar Faruk Abdullahi, and was well attended by dignitaries, including the Emir of Agaie, Alhaji Yusuf Nuhu.
Governor Bago was also present at the Kpakungu Muslim Cemetery, where the late Capt. Baro was laid to rest. The Chief Imam of Minna, Malam Jibril Isah, offered prayers for the repose of his soul.
The Governor later led a state delegation to the family residence at Brighter Area, Minna, to condole with the bereaved family. He urged them to remain steadfast in faith and continue to pray for the late Capt. Baro.
Additional prayers were offered by the Chief Imam of Minna, Malam Jibril Isah, and the Chief Imam of Agaie, Malam Ndanusa Ibrahim Yunusa.
Capt. Baro, who died at the age of 65, is survived by two wives and seven children. He previously served as Chairman of Agaie Local Government Council and was once the Director General of Protocol, Government House, during the administration of Dr. Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu.
