APC declares readiness for national convention after venue inspection
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced its readiness to host its forthcoming national convention following a final inspection of the venue in Abuja.
The inspection was carried out on Thursday at Eagle Square by members of the party’s venue sub-committee.
A statement signed by Simon Lalong, Senator representing Plateau South and Vice Chairman of the sub-committee, disclosed that the team, alongside the committee Chairman and Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, assessed ongoing preparations at the venue.
The delegation inspected the level of work done, engaged with contractors and officials overseeing various aspects of the arrangements, and reviewed logistics aimed at ensuring a hitch-free convention.
Following the exercise, both Lalong and Abiodun expressed satisfaction with the progress recorded, noting that the quality and pace of work met expectations.
They declared that the party is fully prepared to host a successful national convention, adding that the inspection marked their second visit to the venue within 24 hours.
The committee members also commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the APC National Chairman, Nentawe Yilwatda, for their leadership and support, which they said had contributed significantly to the smooth planning of the event.
The APC national convention is expected to bring together party leaders, delegates and stakeholders from across the country, with a focus on strengthening unity and positioning the party for future political activities.
