FCT Police Kick Off 2026 National Police Day with Sanitation, Free Medical Outreach
The Federal Capital Territory Police Command has commenced activities marking the 2026 National Police Day celebration with a community-focused outreach in Abuja.
Under the leadership of Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Muhammad, the Command flagged off the event on Monday with a sanitation exercise in Area 1, alongside a free medical outreach for residents.
The initiative targeted vulnerable groups, offering essential healthcare services while promoting environmental cleanliness within the community.
The exercise highlights the Nigeria Police Force’s commitment to strengthening community relations, advancing public health, and encouraging environmental responsibility.
Residents who benefited from the programme commended the Command for what they described as a proactive effort to improve living conditions and expand access to healthcare.
The Command reiterated its dedication to people-centred policing, noting that the activities form part of broader efforts to deepen trust and collaboration between the police and the public as the National Police Day celebrations continue.
