Tinubu Leaves Abuja for Three-Week European Vacation

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Sunday departed Abuja for Europe to begin a three-week vacation as part of his annual leave.

The President’s first destination is London, United Kingdom, according to a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.

Onanuga said the President would spend the next three weeks on vacation before returning to Nigeria to participate in activities ahead of the 2027 general election.

“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will depart Abuja today for Europe to begin a three-week vacation as part of his annual leave. His first stop will be London, United Kingdom,” the statement said.

The presidential adviser added that Tinubu was expected to return to Nigeria immediately after the vacation to join the campaign activities ahead of the January 2027 election.

“President Tinubu is expected to return home after the working vacation to join the hectic campaign for the January 2027 election,” Onanuga said.

The President’s departure comes amid increasing political activities across the country as political parties and their candidates intensify preparations for the 2027 polls.

Tinubu is expected to seek re-election on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The statement did not provide details of Tinubu’s itinerary in London or indicate whether he would visit other European destinations during the three-week vacation.
