GSG hails Sen Odey on appointment as DG of Cross River APC Campaign Council

The Grassroots Solidarity Group (GSG) has congratulated Senator Professor Stephen Odey, Esq., on his appointment as Director-General of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Campaign Council in Cross River State, describing the appointment as a well-deserved recognition of his leadership experience, political commitment and contributions to societal development.

In a congratulatory statement signed by its Director-General, Dr Ebriku John Friday (JP), the group expressed confidence in Odey’s capacity to provide effective leadership and strategic direction for the party’s campaign activities, while wishing him success in the new assignment.

The group recalled that on January 7, 2023, it honoured the senator with a Special Award of Honour and a Certificate of Distinction as Foremost Political Leader and Mentor of the Year. According to GSG, the recognition was in appreciation of his exemplary political leadership, philanthropic and humanitarian interventions, mentorship of young people, and contributions to the growth of education and societal development.

GSG noted that Odey’s latest appointment further affirmed the qualities for which he had previously been recognised, expressing optimism that he would bring vision, discipline and strategic insight to the campaign council.

The statement read in part: “This new appointment further corroborates his commitment to these ideals and affirms the integrity, experience, and dedication he has shown over the years to the growth of our party and the progress of our people. It is a well-deserved recognition of dependable leadership and a firm commitment to the values we all share.”

The group also expressed confidence in the senator’s ability to deliver results for the APC and Cross River State, pledging the full support and cooperation of its members as he undertakes the new responsibility.

“We are confident that he will bring the same vision, discipline, and strategic insight to this new role and deliver excellent results for the party and for Cross River State. He can count on the full support and cooperation of every member of GSG as he leads this important assignment,” the statement added.

Congratulating the newly appointed campaign director-general, GSG wished him wisdom, strength and success in the discharge of his responsibilities.
