Amorim motivates players to silence Ratcliffe’s doubts in Real Sociedad clash
Ruben Amorim has urged his players to prove Manchester United co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe wrong when they face Real Sociedad in the second leg of their Europa League round of 16 tie tonight.
Ratcliffe sparked controversy earlier this week by claiming that some players were overpaid and not good enough.
However, Amorim, speaking at a pre-match news conference, admitted that the team has been underperforming this season, with United currently languishing in 14th place in the Premier League.
Despite the criticism, Amorim insisted there have been no complaints from his squad regarding Ratcliffe’s remarks. With a crucial European fixture ahead, Amorim now looks to rally his squad for a statement performance against Real Sociedad.
