2027: Cross River APC names Stephen Odey DG of campaign 

The Cross River State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has appointed Senator Professor Stephen Odey as Director-General of its State Campaign Organisation for the 2027 general elections.

The party also appointed Architect Etubom Bassey Eyo Ndem as Secretary of the Campaign Council, as it begins preparations for the forthcoming elections.

The appointments were announced in a press release issued on Thursday, 15 October 2026, and signed by the party’s State Publicity Secretary, Hon Emmanuel Edem Inyang, JP.

Senator Professor Odey, who currently serves as Cross River State Commissioner for Education, brings his political experience and public service background to the campaign leadership role. His appointment places him at the head of the party’s state campaign structure ahead of the 2027 polls.

Architect Ndem, as Secretary of the Campaign Council, is expected to work with the Director-General and other members of the campaign leadership to coordinate the council’s activities and support the party’s electoral preparations.

In announcing the appointments, the APC leadership in Cross River State congratulated the appointees and expressed confidence in their leadership capacity, experience and commitment to the party’s ideals.

The party expressed optimism that the appointments would strengthen its campaign organisation as it prepares to mobilise support and pursue its political objectives in the 2027 general elections.

The announcement marks an important step in the APC’s preparations for the next electoral cycle in Cross River State.
