Tinubu to present 2026 budget to National Assembly Friday
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will on Friday present the 2026 Appropriation Bill to the National Assembly.
The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, disclosed this during plenary on Thursday while reading a letter from the President informing lawmakers of his intention to lay the budget before a joint session of the National Assembly.
According to the letter, President Tinubu will personally present the 2026 budget estimates to both chambers of the legislature at a joint sitting.
The budget presentation is expected to outline the administration’s fiscal priorities for the 2026 financial year, including revenue projections, expenditure plans and key policy directions amid ongoing economic reforms.
Details of the budget size and sectoral allocations are yet to be made public.
