International Women’s Day 2026: Nigerian Air Force celebrates women in service
In commemoration of International Women’s Day 2026, the Nigerian Air Force has celebrated the courage, professionalism and dedication of its female personnel whose contributions continue to strengthen operations across the force.
The celebration aligns with this year’s theme, “Give to Gain – Generosity, Collaboration and Collective Uplift,” highlighting the importance of teamwork, support and shared progress.
According to the Nigerian Air Force, women in the service continue to demonstrate exceptional commitment, leadership and discipline while contributing significantly to operational excellence and national security.
The force noted that the dedication of female officers and airwomen reflects the spirit of the theme, showing that through collaboration, generosity of purpose and mutual support, greater achievements can be realised.
The Nigerian Air Force also reaffirmed its commitment to empowering women, promoting equality and creating opportunities for female personnel to grow and excel in their careers.
It added that empowering women within the service remains a key part of strengthening the nation’s defence and building a more inclusive and effective military.
