President Bola Ahmed Tinubu met with United States State Department Senior Advisor for Africa, Massad Boulos, on Thursday in Paris, France, to discuss regional security challenges and strengthen economic collaboration across Africa.

This was disclosed by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, in a post shared on his official X (formerly Twitter) handle on Friday.

According to Onanuga, the high-level talks focused on building sustainable peace in the Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and exploring opportunities to deepen economic cooperation across the continent.

“State Department Senior Advisor for Africa Massad Boulos met with President Tinubu on Thursday to discuss regional security including working together with partners to build a durable peace in eastern DRC. They also discussed expanding opportunities for economic cooperation throughout Africa,” he stated.

The meeting reflects increased diplomatic engagement between Nigeria and the United States under President Tinubu’s leadership, especially on issues related to peacekeeping, trade, and continental stability.

President Tinubu’s administration has been actively pursuing foreign partnerships aimed at driving economic reforms and enhancing Nigeria’s regional influence through security and developmental cooperation.
