Cherubim & Seraphim Worldwide Spiritual Father Prophet Emmanuel Alogbo dies at 93

The Spiritual Father of the Cherubim & Seraphim Movement Church Worldwide (Ayo Ni O), Emmanuel Alogbo, has died at the age of 93.

The church announced his passing in a statement on Thursday signed by its Secretary-General, Prophet Anthony Olusesan Samaye, stating that the revered cleric died peacefully at about 2:10 a.m. at his residence in Lagos.

According to the statement, Prophet Alogbo was surrounded by members of his family and domestic staff at the time of his passing.

> “With gratitude to God Almighty for a life well spent, on behalf of the Board of Trustees and the entire church, I write to inform you all that our Spiritual Father was called to glory in the early hours of today, July 30, 2026, at about 2:10 a.m.,” the statement read.

The church described the late prophet as a devoted servant of God whose life was dedicated to the Christian faith and service to humanity.

It noted that he led the Cherubim & Seraphim Movement Church Worldwide for several decades, overseeing its spiritual growth and expansion in Nigeria and across the diaspora, earning recognition as one of the country’s longest-serving church leaders.

The church announced that prayer sessions would be held daily for seven days from 5:00 p.m. at his residence located at Plot 1, Alogbo Close, off Ahmadiyya Bus Stop, Ijaiye-Ojokoro, Lagos.

It added that funeral arrangements would be announced in due course and urged members to remain steadfast in faith and prayer during the mourning period.

> “May his soul rest in perfect peace, and may God grant the church the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss,” the statement added.
