Tyrique George shines as Chelsea beat Legia Warsaw 3–0
Teenage winger Tyrique George scored his first senior goal for Chelsea as the Blues secured a comfortable 3–0 win over Legia Warsaw in the first leg of their UEFA Conference League quarter-final clash.
The 19-year-old found the back of the net just four minutes into the second half in Poland, reacting quickly to tap in after Reece James’ shot was parried by the goalkeeper.
Though yet to make his Premier League debut, George—who has featured for England at under-19 level—has now made 10 appearances in European competitions this season, showing promise for the future.
Substitute Noni Madueke came off the bench to score twice, wrapping up a dominant performance for Enzo Maresca’s team and giving Chelsea a strong advantage heading into the second leg at Stamford Bridge on Thursday, April 17.
