Dino Melaye makes first Court appearance as practicing Lawyer
Former Kogi West senator, Dino Melaye, has officially launched his legal career with his first court appearance as a practicing lawyer.
Melaye was spotted on Friday at the Federal High Court in Abuja, fully robed in a lawyer’s wig and gown, as he appeared before Justice Emeka Nwite in Court 8.
“Senator Dino Melaye at the Federal High Court Abuja today. Appeared before Justice Emeka Nwite of Court 8,” the former lawmaker confirmed in a post shared on his verified Facebook page.
Melaye, a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), was among the over 5,000 new lawyers called to the Nigerian Bar in early July after completing his law degree at Baze University.
Known for his controversial political career and outspoken activism, Melaye previously represented Kogi West Senatorial District during the 8th National Assembly and also served in the House of Representatives.
His appearance in court marks a significant new phase in his professional journey, transitioning from lawmaking to law practice.
