Breaking: Reps Deputy Chief Whip Onanuga is dead
The Deputy Chief Whip of the House of Representatives, Honourable Adewunmi Oriyomi Onanuga, has passed away.
News of her death reached the National Assembly on Tuesday evening. She represented the Ikenne, Sagamu, and Remo North Federal Constituency in Ogun State.
A dedicated member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), she was serving her second term as a lawmaker.
During the 9th Assembly, Hon. Onanuga chaired the House Committee on Women Affairs and Social Development. Following the inauguration of the 10th House of Representatives, she was appointed Deputy Chief Whip, a role she held until her untimely death.
Born on 2 December 1965, she was 59 years old.
