Davido appointed Chairman of Osun Sports Trust Fund
Music superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has been appointed by the Osun State Government as the Chairman of the Osun Sports Trust Fund, a move aimed at revitalising the state’s sports sector.
The appointment, according to government sources, is intended to attract private-sector investment, foster corporate partnerships, and enhance international visibility for sports development across the state.
Officials revealed that Davido, who hails from Osun, accepted the role without hesitation and is expected to leverage his global influence, business acumen, and strong youth following to raise funds and transform the region’s sporting landscape.
The state government believes his leadership will bridge the gap between youth culture and sports development, potentially attracting sponsorships, athlete support programmes, and improved sports infrastructure throughout Osun State.
