The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has formally recognised the Nyesom Wike-supported faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), marking a key development in the party’s internal leadership struggle.
The recognition was reflected on INEC’s official website on Monday, where the updated list of the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) was published. The leadership includes Abdulrahman Mohammed as National Chairman and Samuel Anyanwu as National Secretary, alongside other key officeholders.
The new NWC emerged during the PDP National Convention held on Sunday night at the Velodrome of the National Stadium in Abuja. Members were re-elected through consensus following the dissolution of the national caretaker committee.
