NABTEB releases 2025 NBC/NTC, ANBC/ANTC examination results
The National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB) has announced the results of the 2025 November/December National Business Certificate (NBC)/National Technical Certificate (NTC) and Advanced National Business Certificate (ANBC)/Advanced National Technical Certificate (ANTC) examinations.
The Registrar and Chief Executive Officer of NABTEB, Dr. Aminu Mohammed, disclosed the results on Monday at the board’s headquarters in Benin, noting that 60 per cent of candidates secured five credits or more, including English Language and Mathematics.
“This timely release, within 64 days after the last paper, reflects our commitment to integrity, transparency, and efficiency in public examinations,” he said.
A total of 61,591 candidates registered for the exams nationwide, comprising 57,444 ordinary level and 4,147 advanced level candidates, representing a 28.42 per cent increase compared to 2024.
The exams were conducted across 2,079 centres, marking a 13.92 per cent rise from the previous year, illustrating growing confidence in NABTEB assessments.
Performance varied across trade categories, with Construction Trades recording 79.32 per cent, Engineering Trades 76.84 per cent, Miscellaneous Trades 77 per cent, and Business Trades 52.07 per cent. Overall, 57.32 per cent of candidates qualified as craftsmen, while 56.52 per cent earned master craftsman status.
On examination malpractice, 259 candidates (0.42 per cent) were implicated, a decline from 0.53 per cent in 2024, showing the effectiveness of enhanced monitoring measures.
Dr. Mohammed reaffirmed NABTEB’s commitment to supporting Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) reforms, leveraging digital innovation to equip Nigerian youths with 21st-century skills.
He also announced that registration for the 2026 in-school NBC/NTC examinations has commenced and urged candidates to check their results on the NABTEB portal.
