Tinubu receives ex-Defence Minister TY Danjuma at Presidential Villa
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Saturday received former Minister of Defence, Theophilus Yakubu Danjuma (retd.), at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
The Presidency disclosed this in a brief statement accompanied by photographs.
The statement read, “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu receives in audience General Theophilus Yakubu Danjuma (Rtd) in the State House, Abuja, Saturday, February 28, 2026.”
As of the time of filing this report, the purpose of the visit had not been made public.
Danjuma previously served as Chief of Army Staff under the military administration of Olusegun Obasanjo and later as Minister of Defence during Obasanjo’s civilian presidency.
He is currently a businessman and philanthropist, widely recognised for his humanitarian activities through the TY Danjuma Foundation.
