Wike renames Abuja International Conference Centre after President Tinubu
The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has officially renamed the Abuja International Conference Centre (AICC) after President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Wike made the announcement on Tuesday during the commissioning ceremony of the newly rehabilitated facility in Abuja, which was conducted by President Tinubu himself.
Speaking at the event, the minister declared that the centre would henceforth be known as the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre, describing it as a world-class structure deserving of regular maintenance.
Wike further stressed that anyone wishing to use the premises — whether an individual, government agency, or private organisation — would be required to pay for it, regardless of their position in society.
“This is a world-class conference centre that must be sustained through regular maintenance, and to achieve that, anyone who wants to use it must pay. No one is exempt,” Wike insisted.
