2025 LENT
Niger State Governor enjoins Christians to deepen their faith in God as they commence the 2025 lent; 40 days fast in preparation for the Easter celebration.
In a message by his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, the farmer Governor says lent is a solemn period that calls for sober reflection, repentance, and more commitment to Spiritual activities.
He observes that the period also highlights the importance of self-discipline, sacrifice, and intense prayers, humility and obedience to the will of God.
The farmer Governor, who notes that the lent is commencing few days after the start of Ramadan Fast, says it is a divine arrangement by God, and that the people should take advantage of the season to fervently pray for the good of the State and the entire nation.
He also urges the people to uphold their prayers for leaders at all levels of for good governance that would make meaningful impacts on the citizens.
The farmer Governor congratulates Christians on the commencement of lent, and wishes them a successful and rewarding Spiritual exercise.
He reminds them on the need to allow the significance of the season reflect in all aspects of their lives during and after the lent.
The farmer Governor reassures them of his unwavering determination to run an inclusive government devoid of any bias.
