President Tinubu, First Lady arrive in UK for historic state visit
Nigeria’s President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, have arrived in the United Kingdom, beginning a historic state visit.
The presidential aircraft touched down at Stansted Airport in London on Tuesday afternoon, where the couple was welcomed by UK officials and representatives from the Nigerian High Commission.
Hosted by King Charles III, the visit is expected to deepen diplomatic, economic, and security cooperation between Nigeria and the United Kingdom.
This marks the first state visit by a Nigerian president to the UK in approximately 37 years, signalling a renewed phase of bilateral relations between the two countries.
