NUJ FCT Chair hails Dr. Abimbola Oyetunde’s appointment as FRCN Lagos Bureau Chief
Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) FCT Council, Comrade Grace Ike, has congratulated Dr. Mrs. Abimbola Oyetunde on her appointment as Bureau Chief for the FRCN Network News Annex in Lagos and Deputy Director of News.
In a goodwill message, Ike described the appointments as a testament to Dr. Oyetunde’s outstanding leadership, dedication, and commitment to journalistic excellence. She noted that Oyetunde’s historic emergence as the first female Deputy National President of the NUJ marked a milestone in the media industry and reflected her trailblazing influence.
Comrade Ike praised her for inspiring women aspiring to leadership positions in journalism and expressed confidence that her vision would strengthen FRCN’s news operations while promoting ethical and impactful reporting.

She wished Dr. Oyetunde innovation, integrity, and continued success in her new roles, adding that her elevation was well-deserved and would further shape Nigeria’s media landscape.
