Crowd storms Rivers Government House to welcome Gov Fubara
Hundreds of women, youths, and men thronged the Government House in Port Harcourt on Thursday to await the return of Governor Siminialayi Fubara.
Supporters arrived as early as 6 a.m., blocking the Azikiwe-Old Port Harcourt Township Road, which resulted in heavy traffic congestion.
Many came in groups with drummers and singers, turning the Brick House atmosphere into a carnival-like display.
The gathering was spearheaded by prominent supporters of the governor, including Darlington Orji, Sokare Goodboy, Ezebunwo Ichemati, among others.
Details are still emerging.
