Man arrested in Enugu for allegedly defiling his two daughters, aged 2 and 5
The Enugu State Government has confirmed the arrest of one Ozioma Okonkwo, a native of Imo State, for allegedly defiling his two biological daughters, aged two and five years.
In a statement released on Monday, the government described the act as inhuman and unacceptable, vowing to ensure justice for the victims.
According to reports, the suspect was arrested following a complaint lodged by concerned neighbours who noticed strange behaviour in the children.
The state’s Ministry of Gender Affairs said the girls have been taken into protective custody and are receiving medical and psychological care.
Authorities assured the public that the suspect will face the full weight of the law once investigations are concluded.
