BREAKING; Court orders Nnamdi Kanu out of courtroom after heated outburst in Abuja
A Federal High Court in Abuja has directed that Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), be taken out of the courtroom following what the court described as “unruly” behaviour during proceedings on Thursday.
Justice James Omotosho dismissed three fresh motions filed by Kanu, ruling that they were unmeritorious since the matter had already been adjourned for judgment. He also held that due to Kanu’s “unruly and violent conduct”, the court was permitted to deliver its main judgment even in his absence.
Trouble started when the judge attempted to deliver the ruling earlier fixed for Thursday. Kanu objected loudly, insisting that the court could not continue because he had not yet filed his final written address. He went on to accuse the judge of bias and alleged that the court did not understand the law.
Despite the interruptions, Justice Omotosho proceeded with the judgment.
