Soludo visits Tinubu at State House after re-election victory
Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo of Anambra State on Thursday visited President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the State House, Abuja, marking their first meeting since Soludo secured re-election.
Soludo, who won the November 8 Anambra governorship poll with 422,664 votes, had defeated the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Nicholas Ukachukwu, who garnered 99,445 votes.
In a statement issued after the closed-door meeting, Soludo described President Tinubu as his “dear friend and brother of over 22 years.”
He said the president received him with his characteristic warmth, adding that Tinubu also congratulated him on the “resounding mandate” delivered by the people of Anambra.
Photographs from the visit show both leaders exchanging pleasantries during the courtesy call.
