Gov Sule appoints eight new commissioner nominees in Nasarawa
Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, has nominated eight individuals for appointment as commissioners in a move aimed at strengthening his administration and improving service delivery across the state.
The nominations were announced on Wednesday during plenary of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly in Lafia, where the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Danladi Jatau, read a letter conveying the governor’s request.
The nominees are Muhammad Habeeb Nagogo from Wamba Local Government Area, Ahmed Yakubu Mohammed from Lafia LGA, Hon. Mohammed Baba Shehu from Keffi LGA, Hon. Mohammed Iyimoga from Obi LGA, Adamu Rabecca Kpadji from Wamba LGA, Nawani Aboki from Doma LGA, Jibril Abdullahi Ibrahim, FCNA, from Nasarawa LGA, and Dr. Ashefo Daniel Paul from Lafia LGA.
Following the announcement, the Speaker directed the Clerk of the House to notify the nominees and request that each submit 30 copies of their curriculum vitae ahead of the screening exercise scheduled for Friday, August 7, 2026.
The appointments will take effect only after the nominees are screened and confirmed by the Nasarawa State House of Assembly in line with constitutional provisions.
