CAJ Congratulates Femi Soneye on NIPR award as spokesperson of the year 2025

The Spokesman of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd.), Mr. Femi Soneye, has been celebrated for his outstanding communication efforts after being named the Spokesperson of the Year 2025 by the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR).
In a congratulatory letter dated April 18, 2025, the President of the Congress of African Journalists (CAJ), Dr. Chris Isiguzo, extended warm felicitations to Mr. Soneye for the prestigious recognition.
“This prestigious honor is a clear affirmation of your commitment to transparency, professionalism, and impactful communication in Nigeria’s vital oil and gas sector,” Dr. Isiguzo stated.
He noted that the award, which came after a thorough selection process, highlights the integrity, competence, and strategic excellence that Mr. Soneye has consistently demonstrated at the helm of corporate communication for NNPC Ltd.
“Your leadership has truly set a new benchmark for corporate communication—not only in Nigeria but across the African continent. As a key voice in the energy industry, your work continues to inspire public relations practitioners and elevate the standards of communication across the board,” he added.
The CAJ president expressed pride in celebrating the achievement and wished Mr. Soneye continued success in his role, noting that his contributions are advancing excellence in public communication.
