Access bank vows transparency, aids Probe into Viral Restroom filming Incident by ex-Staff

Access Bank has confirmed the dismissal of a staff member accused of secretly recording colleagues in the bank’s restrooms.
In a statement released by its management, the bank disclosed that the matter had been escalated to law enforcement agencies, with an investigation already in progress.
The bank stressed its firm stance against any form of harassment or violation of personal privacy.
“We uphold a zero-tolerance policy towards harassment and any form of privacy violation,” the statement read. “We are fully cooperating with the authorities and engaging with affected employees to provide all necessary support.”
Access Bank also urged the public to depend on official updates shared through its verified communication channels, adding that the safety, dignity, and welfare of its employees and customers remain a top priority.
This development follows viral reports on social media alleging that Stephen Ifeanyichukwu Ejezie, a former quality assurance specialist at the bank’s contact centre in Oniru, Lagos, was caught inside the female restroom around 1:30 a.m. on Wednesday. He was reportedly discovered with several video clips of his female colleagues secretly recorded without their consent.
While confirming Ejezie’s dismissal, the bank noted that it appreciated the concerns and support from the public as the investigation continues.
Meanwhile, some of the affected employees have expressed fears about whether justice will truly be served in the case.
