Benue Judiciary Workers suspend strike after four Months
The Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN), Benue State chapter, has officially called off its industrial action after about four months.
The union had commenced the strike in December 2024, accusing the state government of excluding judiciary workers from the implementation of the new minimum wage.
In a statement signed by the State Chairman, Comrade Aba Terlumun Moses, the suspension was announced in compliance with a directive from the National Headquarters of the Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria.
He confirmed that all judicial staff in Benue State should consider the strike action, which began on December 6, 2024, as suspended.
According to the statement, the decision to suspend the strike followed a positive response from the Benue State Government concerning the demands raised by the union.
As a result, the State Chairman directed all judiciary workers in the state to immediately end the industrial action and resume work on Wednesday, April 23, 2025.
Comrade Moses expressed gratitude to the union members for their patience and cooperation throughout the period of the strike.
