National Police Day: Police always your friend – Niger CP tells Nigerians

The Niger State Commissioner of Police, CP Adamu Elleman, has reiterated the role of the police as protectors of the people, ensuring the safety of lives and property.
He made this statement during a “Walkathon for National Police Day,” a roadwork exercise held as part of the 2025 National Police Day celebrations.
The event, which took place in Minna, commenced at the State Police Headquarters in Dutsen-Kura, proceeding through various roads, including the Government House road, ETB junction, and GRA, before returning to the headquarters.
CP Elleman led the exercise with senior officers and personnel from the command, demonstrating their commitment to public safety.
During the walk, CP Elleman emphasized that the police are servants of the people and not the other way around.
He assured the public that, as a new commissioner, he would continue the successes of his predecessors while focusing on eliminating criminal elements from Niger State.
He further warned criminals or potential wrongdoers in the state to reconsider their actions, promising that the police would ensure their removal from the state.
