NNPC dismisses Refinery Chiefs, Senior Executives in major Leadership reshuffle
The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd) has dismissed the Managing Directors of its three major refineries as part of a significant leadership overhaul.
Those affected by the directive include the heads of the Port Harcourt Refining Company, Warri Refining and Petrochemical Company, and the Kaduna Refining and Petrochemical Company.
In addition to the refinery chiefs, several senior executives within the corporation have also been relieved of their positions. Among them is Bala Wunti, who previously served as the Chief of the National Petroleum Investment Management Services (NAPIMS), a critical subsidiary of NNPC Ltd.
Furthermore, the company has directed all personnel with less than one year to retirement to immediately commence their exit from service.
Although NNPC Ltd has yet to issue an official statement regarding the development, multiple credible sources within the organisation confirmed the shake-up on Tuesday.
