Tinubu appoints Omidiran as New FCC Chair, names Musa as Secretary, announces commissioners
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Ayo Hulayat Omidiran, a former member of the House of Representatives, as the new Executive Chairman of the Federal Character Commission (FCC).
She replaces Dr. Muheeba Dankaka, whose tenure was marred by controversy.
The President also named Mohammed Musa as the Commission’s Secretary and retained Kayode Oladele, a former lawmaker from Ogun State who has served as acting chairman, as Commissioner.
Renewed appointments were given to Lawal Ya’u Roni (Jigawa), Abubakar Atiku Bunu (Kebbi), Eludayo Eluyemi (Osun), and Abdulwasiu Kayode Bawalla (Lagos).
