BREAKING: Panic as Abuja–Kaduna Train derails (Photos)
A passenger train travelling from Abuja to Kaduna derailed along the Kaduna corridor on Tuesday, August 26, shortly after departing the nation’s capital around 11 a.m.
The incident caused several carriages to overturn, sparking panic among passengers who rushed to safety in fear and confusion. One passenger described the scene as chaotic, with many struggling to escape the derailed coaches.
The cause of the derailment remains unknown, and there has been no official confirmation of injuries or casualties as at the time of filing this report.
Security sources, however, disclosed that military personnel have been deployed to the scene to support the evacuation of stranded passengers.
