Temi Otedola officially changes Surname to Ajibade after glamorous wedding to Mr Eazi

Temi Otedola, daughter of billionaire businessman Femi Otedola, has officially updated her surname to Ajibade on Instagram, days after concluding her high-profile wedding ceremonies to Afrobeats singer Oluwatosin Ajibade, popularly known as Mr Eazi.
On Friday, the 29-year-old actress posted a wedding photo on her verified Instagram page with the caption, “Mr and Mrs Ajibade,” and her profile name now reads “Temiloluwa Ajibade,” confirming the change that has sparked widespread online reactions.
The couple tied the knot in August, hosting a series of elaborate ceremonies in three countries—a civil wedding in Monaco, a traditional Yoruba celebration at the Otedola residence in Dubai, and a church wedding in Iceland. Temi later revealed they had already held a private court wedding on May 9, 2025, in Monaco, coinciding with her mother-in-law’s birthday.
The name change has triggered conversations on social media, reigniting debates around women adopting their husband’s surname. While some Nigerians praised her decision as a symbol of family unity, others, including feminist voices, argued that women should not feel compelled to change their surnames after marriage.
Adding to the discourse, her father, Femi Otedola, expressed his blessings during the ceremony, saying, “You have to succumb to your husband; he’s your boss. Temi, I wish you all the best in your future endeavours. You found a great guy. Very great guy. Blessed guy. He comes from a very decent family.” His remarks stirred discussions on traditional expectations in Nigerian marriages.
The celebrations, which blended Nigerian culture with international glamour, attracted several celebrities, including Davido, Simi, Veekee James, Toke Makinwa, Shallipopi, DJ Cuppy, Tacha, and Adesua Etomi, all of whom congratulated the couple.
Despite the conversations, Temi and Mr Eazi continue to share highlights of their union, solidifying their status as one of the year’s most talked-about celebrity couples, with a marriage that bridges music, film, fashion, and business.
