Swiss icon Roger Federer has been named among the nominees for the International Tennis Hall of Fame’s class of 2026, topping a star-studded list unveiled on Wednesday.

The first man to win 20 Grand Slam singles titles, Federer redefined the modern era of tennis alongside Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic. He captured 103 career titles, recorded 1,251 singles victories, and spent a record 237 consecutive weeks as world No. 1, ending five seasons at the top.

Joining him on the nominees’ list are Russia’s two-time Grand Slam champion Svetlana Kuznetsova and Argentina’s 2009 US Open winner Juan Martín del Potro.

Federer’s career highlights include leading Switzerland to a first Davis Cup title in 2014 and winning Olympic doubles gold with Stan Wawrinka in Beijing in 2008. His elegant all-court style, lethal forehand, precise serve, and effortless footwork cemented his legacy as one of the game’s greatest players.
