Edo acid attack: Police launch manhunt for suspected boyfriend
The Edo State Police Command has commenced a manhunt for the alleged boyfriend of a woman who was recently attacked with acid in the state. The victim sustained severe burns in the incident, which has sparked widespread outrage and calls for swift justice.
Police spokesperson confirmed that preliminary investigations indicate the suspected boyfriend may have been involved in the assault. Law enforcement officers are currently tracking his movements to ensure his arrest and to prevent further harm.
Authorities have appealed to members of the public to provide any information that could assist in locating the suspect. “We are determined to bring the perpetrator to justice and ensure the victim receives adequate protection and medical care,” the spokesperson said.
