Wike orders extension of Airport Road to Tunga Madaki, Zuba Communities
The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has directed that the Abuja Airport Road be connected to Tunga Madaki and adjoining communities within the nation’s capital.
The directive was issued during an on-the-spot assessment of the ongoing road construction project by the minister.
In a brief update, Wike’s media aide, Lere Olayinka, said the minister personally inspected the newly constructed road aimed at linking the Airport corridor with Tunga Madaki and other parts of the FCT.
According to Olayinka, Wike also instructed that construction work be extended towards Zuba, in line with the administration’s commitment to expanding road infrastructure across the territory.
The minister noted that the FCT has witnessed significant infrastructural transformation since the assumption of office by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Wike stressed that under the current administration, Abuja has recorded remarkable progress, particularly in road construction and urban development, describing the ongoing projects as part of efforts to improve connectivity and ease movement within the FCT.
