Only ‘unconditional surrender’ will lead to deal with Iran – Trump
Donald Trump has declared that there will be no agreement with Iran unless the country agrees to what he described as “unconditional surrender.”
Trump made the statement on Friday through a post on his social media platform, insisting that any future engagement with Iran would only happen after the country accepts total surrender.
According to him, once Iran agrees to the condition and a new leadership acceptable to the international community emerges, the United States and its allies would help rebuild the country.
“After that, and the selection of a GREAT & ACCEPTABLE Leader(s), we, and many of our wonderful and very brave allies and partners, will work tirelessly to bring Iran back from the brink of destruction,” Trump wrote.
The US President also said the United States and its partners would assist in revitalising Iran’s economy following the ongoing conflict.
“Iran will have a great future. MAKE IRAN GREAT AGAIN (MIGA!). Thank you for your attention to this matter!” he added.
Trump’s comments come amid escalating tensions in the Middle East following military confrontations involving the United States, Israel, and Iran.
