Jose Mourinho sues Galatasaray

Jose Mourinho, the manager of Fenerbahce, has launched a lawsuit against Galatasaray following accusations that he made racist comments.
The controversy arose after Mourinho described the Galatasaray bench as “jumping like monkeys” during a post-match interview.
He also praised the Slovenian referee, suggesting that the game was better officiated by a non-Turkish official. Fenerbahce maintains that Mourinho’s comments were taken out of context and distorted.
The lawsuit seeks damages of approximately £41,000, a symbolic amount referencing the year Fenerbahce was founded
Mourinho was later banned for four matches and fined over 35, 000 pounds by the Turkish Football Federation for two separate disciplinary issues.
On Friday, Fenerbahçe confirmed that Mourinho was pursuing legal action through the club’s lawyers, filing a lawsuit against Galatasaray for attacking the personal rights of the Portuguese coach.
