Tributes as Business Icon Aminu Dantata is laid to rest in Madinah
Renowned Nigerian businessman and philanthropist, Alhaji Aminu Dantata, was laid to rest on Tuesday evening in Madinah, Saudi Arabia.
The highly respected elder statesman, who passed away last weekend in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, was buried at the historic Baqiyya Cemetery amid an outpouring of prayers and heartfelt tributes.
Before the burial, funeral prayers were held at the Prophet’s Mosque immediately after the Asr prayer. The Janazah prayer attracted hundreds of mourners, including a delegation from the Federal Government of Nigeria, family members, associates, and well-wishers, who gathered to honour his memory and pray for the peaceful repose of his soul.
Alhaji Aminu Dantata was widely regarded as a towering figure in Nigeria’s business and philanthropic circles, leaving an indelible mark on commerce, education, healthcare, and community development.
Throughout his lifetime, he consistently championed charitable causes, providing support to the less privileged and funding projects aimed at improving the lives of countless Nigerians.

His passing has been described as a monumental loss to the nation, with many remembering his generosity, wisdom, and unwavering commitment to the welfare of his people.
