All Saints Catholic Church Honours Comrade Ike with 2026 Humanitarian and Service Award
The morning service at All Saints Church swelled with applause and gratitude as the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) FCT Council chairman, Comrade Grace Ike, was honoured with an Outstanding Achievement Award ( 2026 Humanitarian and service award) by the church’s Laity Council.
Receiving the award in spirit, Comrade Ike expressed deep gratitude to God for the opportunity to serve and dedicated the honour to both God and every member of the NUJ-FCT Council.
In an interview, she thanked the organisers for recognising her work and for “fishing her out” despite her distance, stressing that she does not take the recognition lightly.
“It’s not just an award, it’s an invitation to do more,” Comrade Ike said.
“I pledge to continue serving humanity and advancing the cause of journalism with humility and dedication, through the help of God.”
The accolade further cements a growing list of recognitions awarded to Comrade Ike for her professional excellence in journalism and her humanitarian efforts.
The physical award was received on her behalf by the council’s auditor, Comrade Rosemary Ukoko-Tega.
