Arsenal’s Myles Lewis-Skelly wins appeal, three-match ban overturned

Arsenal defender Myles Lewis-Skelly has had his three-match ban, imposed following a red card against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday, overturned.
The Gunners successfully appealed the decision to send off the 18-year-old, with an independent regulatory commission agreeing that the dismissal was wrongful. The Football Association confirmed the outcome of the appeal.
Lewis-Skelly was shown a straight red card for a foul on Matt Doherty, with referee Michael Oliver deeming it serious foul play.
The incident occurred in the 43rd minute as Doherty was about to launch a counter-attack just outside the Wolves’ penalty box. The decision was initially upheld by video assistant referee Darren England.
