BREAKING: Explosion rocks Mararaba-Nyanya Bypass, Police launch forensic probe

The Federal Capital Territory Police Command has confirmed an explosion that occurred along the Mararaba-Nyanya bypass around 2:50 p.m. on Monday, May 26, 2025.
According to the police, operatives from the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Unit quickly responded to the scene, secured the affected area, and commenced forensic investigations to determine the exact cause and nature of the blast.
One male victim was rescued from the scene and rushed to the hospital for medical attention.
In a statement, the police assured residents that there is no immediate cause for alarm, urging them to go about their lawful activities while maintaining vigilance. The Command encouraged the public to promptly report any suspicious movements or items to the nearest police station or through its dedicated emergency lines.
