BREAKING: Gov. Alia dissolves Benue Executive Council
Governor Hyacinth Alia of Benue State has dissolved the state’s executive council, effectively relieving all commissioners of their duties.
The announcement was made in a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Tersoo Kula, following the conclusion of the 12th executive council meeting held on Wednesday.
Governor Alia, while expressing appreciation for the commissioners’ service over the past two years, urged those not reappointed to remain committed to the party and continue contributing to the state’s development efforts.
The governor also announced a fresh appointment, naming Moses Atagher — a former Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice — as the new Chief of Staff.
Kula clarified that the dissolution affects only the commissioners, while the Chief of Staff position is a new designation within the administration.
