CAS congratulates newly promoted NCOs, says each promotion builds a smarter and stronger Air Force

The Chief of Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, has congratulated Non-Commissioned Officers (NCOs) of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) recently promoted to their next ranks, saying every promotion strengthens the Service.

The CAS said with every promotion, the NAF becomes smarter in strategy, more resilient in spirit, and more dedicated to serving the nation. He made the remarks while addressing the newly promoted personnel whose promotion took effect from 1 September 2025.

According to him, the promotion exercise, which followed the Service’s annual schedule, shows NAF’s commitment to professionalism, morale building, and personnel development. He described the process as transparent and merit-based, in line with Armed Forces standards.

Air Marshal Aneke said the promotion was not just an administrative routine but a defining moment that reinforces merit, discipline, and devotion to duty. He said each promoted airman and airwoman represents renewed strength and national confidence in the Air Force’s mission to defend the country.

He urged the newly promoted personnel to see their new ranks as both recognition and responsibility. “Promotion is not just about rising in rank; it is about rising to greater expectations,” he said.

The CAS reaffirmed that motivation and mentorship remain key to his leadership philosophy, stressing that a highly trained and motivated workforce is central to mission readiness and operational success.

He noted that morale plays a major role in achieving results, adding that “when personnel are motivated, operations become sharper, decisions smarter, and the overall impact greater.”

Air Marshal Aneke also said a motivated and well trained force is critical to maintaining the NAF’s operational edge and protecting citizens from emerging threats.

He explained that the 2025 promotion aligns with NAF’s efforts to sustain professionalism through training, welfare, and career growth. It also prepares the next generation of leaders to strengthen operational efficiency and innovation.

The CAS encouraged the newly promoted officers to remain humble, responsible, and dedicated to their duties. “Together, we will continue to soar higher ,for the flag, for the Force, and for the future of our nation,” he said.
