Drama as Anyanwu, Ude-Okoye clash at PDP BoT meeting (video)

A mild drama ensured on Wednesday when two National Secretaries showed up at the meeting of the Board of Trustees meeting of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
The two men, Samuel Anyanwu and Sunday Ude-Okoye are locked in struggle for the position of National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Watch the video below;
While Anyanwu is the National Secretary of the party, he contested the last governorship election of the party in IMO state, forcing some members to approach the court insisting that in accordance with the party Constitution, he stop being a member of the National Working Committee.
The PDP, which is currently entangled in crisis from all angles is holding BoT meeting at its National Headquarters, presided over by the BoT Chairman and former Senate President, Adolphus Wabara.
Ude-Okoye was however taken out of the meeting venue by security agents.
Information from the PDP Secretariat said Anyanwu was present from the start, while Ude-Okoye arrived at precisely 12:10 p.m.
Recall that, in 2023, the PDP’s South East zone nominated former National Youth Leader Sunday Ude-Okoye to replace Anyanwu as National Secretary after he was chosen as the party’s candidate for the Imo State governorship election.
The South East PDP contended that Anyanwu should no longer hold the position following his selection as the Imo candidate, sparking further controversy.
The Appeal Court in Enugu upheld Ude-Okoye as the PDP National Secretary of the party and the decision was formally communicated to the party leadership on December 24.
In a dramatic twist, the Court of Appeal in Abuja is said to have issued a restraining order, directing Anyanwu to remain National Secretary until the Supreme Court resolves the appeal.
