Enugu state secures hosting rights for 2026 National Sports festival

Enugu State Governor, Dr. Peter Mbah, has inaugurated the Local Organising Committee for the 23rd National Sports Festival, Enugu 2026.

He highlighted that the committee members were meticulously chosen for their expertise, excellence, and notable contributions to the sports sector.

The LOC will be chaired by Commissioner for Youth and Sports in Enugu State, Mr. Lloyd Ike Ekweremadu Junior.

Other notable members include Bamiduro Olumide, Mary Onyali, Davidson Owumi, and Jonathan Nnaji.

This development comes as Enugu State prepares to host the 2026 National Sports Festival, which is expected to attract over 11,000 athletes from across the country.
