Flying Eagles arrive Abidjan for friendlies against Côte D’ivoire
Nigeria’s Under-20 team, the Flying Eagles, arrived in Abidjan on Tuesday morning ahead of two friendly matches against Côte d’Ivoire’s Young Elephants.
The delegation was led by a member of the Nigeria Football Federation Executive Committee, Alhaji Ganiyu Majekodunmi.
Coach Aliyu Zubairu selected 21 players for the friendlies, including team captain Daniel Bameyi, first-choice goalkeeper Ifeanyi Harcourt, and defender Haruna Aliyu.
The seven-time African champions will face their Ivorian counterparts at the Stade Félix Houphouët-Boigny in Abidjan, with the first match scheduled for Wednesday at 4:30 PM Nigerian time.
The two teams will meet again on Friday at the same venue and time.
