Gov Bago dissolves Niger State Universal Basic Education Board
Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago of Niger State has approved the immediate dissolution of the Niger State Universal Basic Education Board (NSUBEB), including the office of the Secretary to the Board.
In a statement released by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Alhaji Abubakar Usman, the decision was described as part of the administration’s ongoing effort to reposition and strengthen the education sector for greater efficiency, accountability, and improved service delivery.
The statement instructed all members of the dissolved Board, including the Secretary, to hand over official documents, assets, and responsibilities to the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education.
Governor Bago expressed gratitude to the outgoing Board members and the Secretary for their service and contributions to the development of basic education in the state and wished them success in their future endeavours.
